経歴
童謡歌手として来日し、童謡の伝道師と呼ばれ100曲以上を英訳。日本各地でコンサートなどを行いながら、様々なテレビ番組やラジオ番組に出演。歌だけでなく、NTTドコモの着信音「You’ve Got Mail」、飛行機の機内アナウンス、千葉にある夢の国のアナウンスなど、誰もが一度は聞いたことのある声で、声優、ナレーター、司会と幅広く活動している。現在は、イベントだけでなく、人気の婚礼司会者としても活動中です。

Greg Irwin is an American Bilingual Master of Ceremonies, Voice Actor and Singer-Songwriter based in Tokyo, Japan.
He was the voice of NTT Docomo’s “You Got Mail”, ANA and Taiwan’s Starlux Airlines inflight announcements, TBS World Heritage, several game voices such as the Street Fighter Announcer and voices for Konami, Sony and Nintendo.
He has voiced TV CM’s for Disney, the popular Boyband WEST, Karamucho, KFC, McDonalds, Nissan and Panasonic. On Japanese TV he recently appeared on Karaoke Battle (TV Tokyo) and “The Reason I Live in Japan.” (BS TV Tokyo)
He was the MC of the MLB and WBC Opening Ceremonies at Tokyo Dome, Dewi Sukarno’s Grand Imperial Charity Banque, Japan’s Premier Social Dance Event “Dance Ala Mode” featuring World Champion Dancers, The Star Wars Convention with Mark Hamill, The Edinburgh Awards with Prince Edward, Tokyo Olympic’s Host Town Summit and various Award Ceremonies, Society Balls, and Corporate Events.
In Japan, he has appeared on stage as an actor at Shinbashi’s Embujo Theater and Misonoza in Nagoya.
Greg translated 100 Japanese traditional Children’s songs known as “Doyo” and was awarded the Japan Doyo Culture Prize. He has released several CD’s and CD Books in Japan and has recorded for Victor Entertainment and Disney. He has appeared in concert at New York’s Lincoln Center, Hamarikyu Asahi Hall, as well as performing on the Asuka and Nippon Maru’s Around the World Cruises.
He is currently a highly popular Wedding Reception MC and has hosted over 1000 wedding receptions in Japan.
